Privacy & Cookies Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This policy explains what personal information Kindfulness Therapy (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit www.kindfulnesstherapy.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in the United Kingdom and handle your data in line with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
Kindfulness Therapy provides mindfulness-based talking therapy with Nel Jayakody. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at kindfulnesstherapy@gmail.com.
Information you give us directly
This is a brochure website — it has no contact form or booking system. If you choose to phone, email or message us on WhatsApp using the details on the site, we will use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange sessions. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed) so we can improve it. These analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them in our cookie banner. Until you accept, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics, advertising and personalisation storage switched off and no analytics data is sent.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the following cookies in your browser:
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors. | 2 years |
| _ga_7BJRK3R68L | Maintains the analytics session state. | 2 years |
We also store a single small item in your browser’s local storage to remember your cookie choice so we don’t ask again on every visit. This is strictly necessary to honour your preference and does not track you.
Analytics data is processed by Google on our behalf. Google may transfer data outside the UK under its standard contractual clauses. For details see Google’s Privacy Policy.
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your mind at any time. Use the button below (also available as “Cookie settings” in the footer) to reopen the banner and accept or reject analytics cookies. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent for analytics cookies. For responding to enquiries you send us, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering and providing the service you have asked about.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email us at kindfulnesstherapy@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised “last updated” date above.
